Dog Sled Rides

Need an Alaskan Husky cuddle? This is the place to do just that! We have 25 lovable, energetic Alaskan huskies that love to have visitors. They will all be excited to get some cuddles from you before and after they take you out on the trails. We have many options for your Alaskan Husky experience, at our kennel we offer 30 and 60 minute rides. Want to be more involved? Try mushing the team yourself! (This option is dependent on staffing) Or let us take you down to meet a veteran Iditarod musher and Yukon Quest finisher, Bill Cotter in Nenana.

Arctic Circle Excursion

Planned stops include: Trans-Alaska Pipeline View/ Hilltop Truck Stop/Dalton Highway Sign/Snowball Mountain/ Yukon River/Finger Mountain/Arctic Circle

Arctic Circle/Overnight Excursion

This excursion is an overnight trip that includes all the great stops of the Arctic Circle tour but on the way back we join Dorothy & Jeremy Towson at the Yukon River Crossing for a snow machine ride to their dry cabin and Northern Lights Viewing Center. There we have dinner and wait for those lights to start dancing! In the morning it’s breakfast time and time to try out some other activities related to living off-the-grid.

During February through the beginning of April we can also take the option of going farther north after our stop at the Arctic Circle and visit the village of Wiseman. Here we would have the option of staying at the local truck stop in ColdFoot or one of two lodges in Wiseman. The Northern Lights love to be play over this area of Alaska and it would also be possible to take a dog sled ride in the morning. The cost of this excursion is highly dependent on which type of lodging we have available at the time of booking, but well worth it!

Ice Fishing

Ice fishing! Imagine an afternoon being on a frozen lake, in a tent, relaxing in a chair as you keep a watch out for a trout or salmon to get a whiff of your bait, always wondering if it will take the bait so we can all have some lunch, or will it just nudge it and swim away. Whether you catch a fish or not, you’ll have an experience to share, you’ll learn how use an auger to make your own fishing hole, help put up the fishing tent and learn the patience of being a fisherman! Oh and some good company and laughter!

Planning Special Excursions for 2022!

We have a dream…maybe it is on your bucket list or is a little itch in the back of your travel ideas.

The process of making plans for an excursion up to the northern part of the state has started but we need to know how much interest there is to really make it happen. This is a tour for those who want to see part of Alaska not many others have a chance to visit and those who want to challenge their photographic abilities. If you are interested, please contact us as soon as possible. Pricing may depend on number of people who are interested!

Cancellation Policy

Deposits are non-refundable. The balance is due at the beginning of your tour. If possible, cash is preferred at that time, but you can use a credit/debit card for part of your payment if the balance due is more than $400.

Severe weather and poor road conditions in this area of Alaska may occur. In general in light snow and other mild conditions, our tours will continue. We check road conditions prior to leaving, however, road conditions can change unexpectedly. If this does happen and we cannot safely move forward with our plans, you are welcome to choose a different activity for the rest of the period in which your tour would have occurred.

In the rare event that we have to cancel a tour, you will have the opportunity to reschedule your excursion (subject to availability), choose one of our other excursions or receive credit for a future excursion.

If you are unable to go on your tour due to unforeseen circumstances on your end, which can happen, your deposit can be used to reschedule your tour within 6 months or the end of the calendar year from your original your date. This is somewhat negotiable depending on circumstances. However, since you will not be paying the remainder of your balance at the time your tour was to take place, please expect to pay the balance even if there are changes to the itinerary when we can reschedule. This is vitally important if your itinerary included transportation or you end up traveling in a different season. Your deposit is usable for rescheduling for 6 months or the end of the calendar year whichever is longer.
